Broussard — A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Andrew Guilliot, 75, will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at St. Anne Catholic Church, with Father Michael Russo officiating. Interment will follow at St. Anne Mausoleum. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, from 9:00 AM until the time of service, with a recitation of the rosary at 11:00 AM. A native and resident of Broussard, Mr. Guilliot passed away surrounded by family at 12:55 PM on Tuesday, September 9, 2024, at his residence. He was a man devoted to his faith and his family. He had a long career as a truck driver, working for over 14 years for Swift Energy and Pepsi Cola. He also served as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service and especially enjoyed his days as the Youngsville Middle Crossing Guard. Mr. Guilliot served Youngsville as a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus Council #6057 and was an usher and Eucharistic Minister at St. Anne Catholic Church. He also enjoyed gardening and fishing. He is survived by his loving wife, Amy Susan Burgess Guilliot of Broussard; two sons, Saul Vincent Guilliot of Oklahoma and Daniel Andree Guilliot of Broussard; one daughter, Bobbie Anne Mayfield of Broussard; two sisters, Margie DeRouen of Broussard and Ida Hebert of Broussard; and five grandchildren, Chelsey Mayfield, Chad Mayfield, Alex Guilliot, Colton Mayfield, and Corrie Elaine Mayfield. He was preceded in death by his parents, Saul and Beatrice Guilliot, his brother-in-law, Calvin James Hebert; one sister, Velma and her husband Melving Turner; and numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be Alex Guilliot, Chad Mayfield, Colton Mayfield, Daniel Mayfield, Scott Fleming, and Dylan DeRouen. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Hebert, Thomas DeRouen Sr., Thomas DeRouen Jr., Saul V. Guilliot, Corrie Mayfield, and Tim DeRouen. David Funeral Home of Lafayette, 316 Youngsville Highway, (337) 837-9887, will be handling the arrangements.
