Alton James Theriot

Parks– A graveside memorial service will be conducted for Alton James Theriot, 63, on Friday, June 5, 2020 at 1:00PM at Holy Family Mausoleum with Deacon Wade Broussard officiating. Inurnment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum.

A native of St. Martinville and resident of Parks, Alton James passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at 5:00PM at Lafayette General Medical Center. Mr. Alton was a painter by trade and owned and operated Alton Theriot Painting.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Earline Landry Theriot; children, Andrea and Sadie Theriot; grandchildren, Cassidy, Gavin, Flyn; and great granddaughter, Vallie; 4 brothers, Corbette Fremin and wife Cindy, Gregory Theriot and wife Karen, Scott Theriot, Anthony Theriot and wife Wendy; sister, Claudette Fremin Davis and husband Jerry; and sister-in-law, Denise Theriot.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton Joseph “Cheetah” Theriot and Elsie Trahan Theriot.

The family would like to thank Dr. Jeanne Theriot and staff for their care and compassion throughout the years. The family would also like to thank Larry and Sue Thibodeaux for 25 years of friendship.

In lieu of flowers, donation can be made in Alton James’ honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
