Loreauville– A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Allen J. Gondron, age 89, on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 10:30 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Loreauville with Father Barry Crochet. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and resume on Thursday, October 26, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. A Rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
Mr. Allen J. Gondron, a beloved and devoted family man, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023. Throughout his lifetime, he found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in playing cards with his cherished friends and family. Allen's unwavering love and commitment to his family were exemplified by his enduring marriage to the love of his life, Joyce Gaudet, a union that spanned over six decades. His warm and nurturing nature extended beyond his immediate family, as he had a profound affection for children and was known for his kindness and patience. A devout Catholic, Mr. Gondron's faith played a significant role in his life, guiding his actions and offering solace in times of need. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know and love him.
Mr. Allen J. Gondron's passing marks the end of a life rich in love, laughter, and faith. His passion for playing cards brought friends and family together, creating countless cherished memories. Allen's devotion to his beloved wife, Joyce, and their enduring love story is a testament to the strength of their bond. Mr. Allen is survived by his wife, Joyce Marie Gaudet Gondron; his daughter, Elizabeth Gondron of Loreauville; two sons, Gregory Gondron of St. Martinville, Kevin Gondron of Loreauville; two grandchildren, Kaden Gondron, and Kate Gondron; siblings, Jane Day, and Richard Gondron and wife Evelyn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Laurent and Camille Borel Gondron; siblings, Dorothy Landry, and Earl Gondron, Sr.
Honored to serve as Pallbearers will be family and friends.
