Lafayette -  – Funeral services will be conducted for Albert Willard Viguerie Jr. on Tuesday, March 7th, 2023, at 11am-1pm at David's Funeral Home in Youngsville, LA. with Father Blessing officiating at 1pm.  Family and friends are also invited to pay their respects on Monday, March 6th at David's from 12pm-7pm
Born in Youngsville, LA. on December 27, 1928 (94), Dr. Albert Viguerie was a lifelong resident of Lafayette, as well as spending much time in Lake Charles, & New Orleans, LA. Here Albert would work as a social worker as he loved helping others.
A lifelong learner, Albert loved to read and he solved his crosswords with a pen. Early in his career, Al worked as a radio personality known to many as "Your Old Pal Uncle Al" & spent time at KLFY in the early days of the station.  He enjoyed working within the community as well as with organizations such as the Civitan Club and the Special Olympics.  He enjoyed golfing, fishing, music, playing his guitar & singing, books, and spending time with friends and family.

Albert is preceded in death by his mother, Agnes Boyle Viguerie; his father, Albert W Viguerie Sr., his brother, Pierre Robert Viguerie; his eldest son, Dale Viguerie;  grandaughters,   Leslie Viguerie, Britni Viguerie McGrew, and Josie Gray Myers.

Albert is survived by his son Ronald Viguerie; two  daughters, Mary "Liz" Myers and  Sandy Keller Broussard; his sister, Janet Viguerie, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. May his soul shine forever.
