Loreauville ~ A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mrs. Agnes B. Louviere, 86, at 11:00AM, on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Loreauville with Father Bill Melancon officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph’s Mausoleum.
Visitation will begin at 5:00PM, on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Frioux-David Funeral Home of Loreauville and continue until 9:00PM. A Recitation of the Rosary will be led by the Men’s Rosary Group at 6:00PM.
Visitation will reopen at 8:00AM, on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Frioux-David Funeral Home of Loreauville and continue until the time of service.
Mrs. Agnes B. Louviere, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering faith. Agnes lived a life centered on giving to others, always sharing her warmth and generosity with everyone she met. For 21 years, Agnes worked in the school cafeteria, where she found great joy in preparing meals for children and staff. She took pride in her work, always serving others with a smile and a kind heart. Her dedication and warm presence made a lasting impact on those she encountered each day. Above all, Agnes cherished her role as a mother. She and her beloved husband, Irving, found immense joy in raising their children together, creating a loving home filled with laughter, guidance, and unwavering support. Their strong partnership and devotion to their family were at the heart of their 66 beautiful years of marriage. Agnes was a woman of deep faith whose gentle spirit and nurturing heart touched countless lives. She found joy in cooking for her family and friends, dancing to her favorite Cajun music, and praying her rosary. Some of her most treasured moments were spent at their country home and camp, where she and Irving found peace and happiness together.
Mrs. Agnes B. Louviere is survived by her devoted husband, Irving Louviere of Loreauville; two sons, Reynolds Louviere of New Iberia and Irving “Vin” Louviere, Jr. and his wife Tina of Loreauville; two daughters, Kathy Louviere of New Iberia and Leah Louviere and her husband Steven of New Iberia; one sister, Mary Jane Melancon and her husband Rudy; eight grandchildren whom she was so proud of, Kim Louviere of New Iberia, Kenneth “T.K.” Hall and his fiancé Jamie of New Iberia, Jamie Ransonet and her husband Billy of Lafayette, Esperanza Salazar of Austin, Texas, Olivia Louviere of New Iberia, Graci Louviere of New Iberia, Scotty Broussard of New Iberia, and Stevee Louviere of New Iberia. Her legacy of love also extends through her great-grandchildren, Isabella Chavez of Austin, Texas, Bentley Hall, Gabriella Kelly and her husband Kameron, Isabella Broussard, and Tyson Maturin of New Iberia.
She was welcomed into eternal rest by her parents, Oneil and Annette Boudreaux; her beloved son, Kenneth Louviere, and her ten siblings, who surely greeted her with open arms.
Pallbearers will be Irving “Vin” Louviere, Jr., Reynolds Louviere, Kenneth “T.K.” Hall, Steven Louviere, Scotty Broussard, and Chris Melancon.
Agnes’s life was one of love, faith, and generosity. She embodied the true spirit of kindness, always putting others before herself. Though she will be deeply missed, her family takes comfort in knowing that her love and spirit will forever remain in their hearts. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that acts of kindness be done in her memory, continuing her legacy of love and generosity.
