Agnes Alphonse Broussard

Lafayette- A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Agnes Alphonse Broussard, 89, will be held at St. Anne Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at 2:00PM with Fr. Schambough officiating. Burial will follow at St. Anne Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 from 9:00AM until time of services with a recitation of the rosary at 11:00AM.

A native of Youngsville, Mrs. Agnes passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, walking, riding her bike, and solving word and picture puzzles. She adored collecting angels and most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed by many.

She is survived by her husband, Roy Broussard of Youngsville; her sons, Patrick Broussard and his wife Denise of Youngsville, Carl Broussard of Youngsville, and Keith Broussard and his life partner Mike Higginbotham of Lafayette; her daughter, Madeline Broussard Snead of Youngsville; her brother, Francis Alphonse of Michigan; her grandchildren, Nicholas Landry, Mandi Broussard, Aimee Broussard Lopez, Ashleigh Babineaux, Coby Elisha Snead, and Chase Broussard; her great-grandchildren, Jacob Landry, Celia Lopez, Emery Babineaux, Elijah Babineaux, and one more great-grandbaby on the way.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Marie Alphonse; her daughters, Suzette Broussard and Lisa Broussard Landry; her grandchild, Jamie Landry; and her brother, Anthony Alphonse.

Serving as pallbearers will be Patrick Broussard, Carl Broussard, Keith Broussard, Nicholas Landry, Coby Snead, and Chase Broussard.

Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Jacob Landry.
