Adareli Marcelina Diz

Lafayette – A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Adareli Diz, 87, will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, July 31, 2023 at St. Anne Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Russo officiating. Interment will follow at St. Anne Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home on Monday, July 31, 2023 beginning at 9:00AM until the time of service will a recitation of the rosary at 11:00AM.

A native to Havana, Cuba and a resident of Youngsville, Mrs. Adareli passed away Thursday, July 27, 2023. She had many hobbies including crocheting, sewing, and needle point. She enjoyed serving the lord, praying the rosary, cooking (especially flan), drinking Cuban coffee and taking road trips. Her family holds dear her many conversations about her life in Cuba, family vacations to Florida, family gatherings and playing dominos.

She is survived by her husband, Jose Diz, Jr.; a son, Jose Diz III and his wife Wendy of Rayne; a daughter, Adarelis Diz and her partner Delania of Walker; nine grandchildren, Jennifer and her husband Justin, Jasmine and her partner Logan, Jade and her partner Kaylee, Justin and his wife Kassy, Tyler and his wife Ashton, Jayden, Brennon, Nicholas and Nevaeh; twelve great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Caridad, Ida and Ester.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Antonio De Armas and Eugenia Torres; a son, Jose Diz; two sisters, Raquel and Eneisa; and one great-grandchild, Mila.

Serving as pall bearers will be Justin Faulk, Tyler Faulk, Jayden Menard, Isaac Arias, Justin Trahan and Logan Arceneaux.
