A Van Nguyen

Abbeville – Funeral Services for Mr. A Van Nguyen, 73, will held at 10:00AM on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at David Funeral Chapel of Abbeville, with Pastor Le Hong Lac officiating.   Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 beginning at 4:00PM until 9:00PM.  Visitation will resume on Thursday, May 12, 2022 beginning at 8:00AM until the time of the services.

A native of Long An, Vietnam and a resident of Erath, Mr. Nguyen died at 7:36PM on Monday, May 9, 2022 at Maison du Monde Nursing Center.  He was an officer in the Vietnam Army; a successful welder; and was known for his love for his family.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lo Thi Nguyen of Erath; three sons, Billy Nguyen and his wife Kim Tho Thi Tran of Youngsville, Huey Long Thanh Nguyen and his wife Huyen Jean Vo of Maurice, and Quoc P. Nguyen of Erath; five grandchildren, Kevin P. Nguyen, Kathy Nhu Nguyen, Kenneth Khang Nguyen, Isabelle Nguyen, and Katelyn Nguyen; and numerous brothers and sister in Vietnam.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ba Van Nguyen and Hung Thi Truong.

Serving as pallbearers will be members of his family and friends.
