Coteau " Funeral services will be conducted for Lizzie Viator, 85, on Thursday, March 30, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church with Rev. Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Ms. Lizzie died on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at 8:15 PM in Maison Teche Nursing Center. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at 4:30 PM till 9:00 PM and resume on Thursday, March 30, 2006 at 11:00 AM till services. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM. She loved to play bingo, pokeno, going to the casino and visiting family. She is survived by her brother, Howard P. Viator, Sr. and his wife Rita of Broussard, LA; her sisters, Olive V. Chatagnier of Baton Rouge, LA, Anita V. Broussard and her husband A.D. of Broussard, LA, Linda V. Giarratano and her husband Joe of Youngsville, LA, Lucy V. Russo and her husband Ernest and Charlene V. Guillot all of New Iberia, LA; and her sister-in-law, Janet C. Viator of Youngsville, LA. She was also survived by 121 nieces and nephews and 12 step-nieces and step-nephews. She was preceeded in death by her father, Ovey F. Viator; mother, Elmina Blanchard Viator; brothers, Alexis Viator, Tony Viator and his wife Reba, Johnny Viator; sister, Clara V. David and her husband Raoul; nieces, Sybil D. Folkerth and Jacqueline Russo Dubroc; brother-in-law, John Chatagnier, Sr.;step-nephew, Rev. Eugene Chatagnier; great-nephew, Davey Desormeaux and her beloved poodle, Frosty. Pallbearers will be Richie Byrom, Danny Amos, Joey Gary, Dale Chatagnier, Tommy Viator and Howard Viator, Jr.. Honorary pallbearer will be Glenn Broussard. The family would like to give special thanks to her nurses, Lisa and Trent, and all of the nurses, aides, office employees, kitchen and activity department at Maison Teche Nursing Center for the many years of love and care.
