New Iberia"A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Lenis Joseph Boudreaux, 78, of New Iberia will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2006 at 3:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverend Steve LeBlanc will serve as celebrant. Entombment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum. Visitation will be held in David Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 29, 2006 from 5:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M., with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home. Mr. Boudreaux passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at 2:10 P.M. in a local care facility. A native of Vermillion Parish, Mr. Boudreaux was a longtime New Iberia resident. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and was a member of American Legion Post #26. He retired from Loffland Brothers/Nabors after 37 years of service. Mr. Boudreaux was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Survivors include his daughters, Sheryl B. Gaspard and husband, Gerald of Mandeville and Kathleen B. Blanchard and husband, Terrance of New Iberia; brothers, Edwin Boudreaux of Panama City, FL and Dalton Boudreaux and wife, Linda of Lafayette; sister, Noella Trahan of Welsh; three grandchildren, Cory Oubre of Houma, Lyndsey Gaspard of Walker, and Jared Gaspard of Mandeville; and one great-grandchild, Hannah Marino of Walker. Preceding Mr. Boudreaux in death are his wife, Hilda Labit Boudreaux; parents, Demas and Helena Simon Boudreaux; son, Donald W. Boudreaux; brother, Francis Boudreaux; and sisters, Agnes Boudreaux and Gladys Desormeaux. Serving as pallbearers are Dalton, Edwin, and Michael Mike Boudreaux, Floyd Gallet, Cory Oubre, Jared Gaspard, and Kenneth Trahan. David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
