Erath " Funeral services will be conducted for Mr. Clet LeBlanc, Jr., 83, on Thursday, May 31, 2007 at 2:30 PM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father Douglas Courville officiating. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Thursday, May 31, 2007 at 10:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed on Wednesday at 7:30 PM. A native of Vermilion Parish and a resident of Erath, Mr. LeBlanc died on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at 12:55 PM in a Lafayette hospital. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II, was a member of the American Legionaire and worked for the Vermilion Parish Sheriff Office. He is survived by his wife of 61years, Eula Comeaux LeBlanc of Erath; 4 children, Ross LeBlanc and his wife Beverly, Carlette LeBlanc Motty, Linell LeBlanc Champagne and Cassey Landry Hidalgo and her husband Keith; 8 grandchildren, Shane LeBlanc, Dawn LeBlanc Dugas, Ryan LeBlanc, Felicity Hardin, Carissa Motty, Saul Motty, Chad Comeaux and Nichole Buteaux; 10 great grandchildren, Makenzi LeBlanc, Hannah, Chloe, Nathan and Isabelle Harden, Blayne, Kye and Cooper Comeaux, Chase and Kamryn Buteaux; 1 brother, Frank LeBlanc and 1 sister, Georgia Fremin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clet LeBlanc, Sr. and Aline Berger LeBlanc; his grandson Eugene LeBlanc; his son-in-laws, Ellery Landry and Tommy Champagne. Pallbearers will be his god children and friend. Honorary pallbearers will be his 4 grandsons. David Funeral Home of Erath is in charge of arrangements.
