Loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather" NEW IBERIA - Services for Harold Eugene Prince Sr., 87, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, December 24, 2006 at David Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Andrew Hebert officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Nicholas Mausoleum in Patoutville. Visiting hours will be observed Saturday, December 23, 2006 from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. and will resume Sunday, December 24, 2006, at 8 a.m. until the time of service at David Funeral Home. A native of Cypremont Point, resident of Weeks Island before moving to Lydia, Mr. Prince died at 5:56 p.m. Friday, December 22, 2006, in a New Iberia hospital. Mr. Prince retired from Morton Salt Company in 1976. He worked as a welder in a shipyard in Pittsburgh, PA during World War II, then in a shipyard in Port Arthur, Texas before returning to Weeks Island. He was an honorary member of Three Brothers Hunting Club. Mr. Prince was an avid hunter and fisherman and also loved gardening year round. He was an accomplished violin player who enjoyed playing for his family. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his retired Weeks Island friends. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Rosa Mae Thibodeaux Prince; a daughter, Paula Prince Dooley; three sons, Ralph John Prince and wife Myra Hebert Prince, Harold Bubbie Prince Jr. and wife Sherry Guidry Prince, all of Lydia, and Ricky Michael Prince and wife Michelle Dorion Prince of Parks; eight grandchildren, Jessica Broussard and husband Francis of Lydia, Doyle Dooley Jr. and wife Delean of Youngsville, Janna Broussard and husband Reggie of New Iberia, Lizette Breaux and husband Mike of Delcambre, Dawn Willis and husband Tim of St. Martinville, Hallie Guillotte and husband Chad of Loreauville, Shawn Prince and wife Tiffany of Parks, and Gene Prince and fianc Michelle of Lydia; 14 great-grandchildren, Jerret Dooley, Brooke Dooley, Logan Rose Willis, Jacob Willis, Trevor Broussard, Trenton Broussard, Shalyn Rabeaux, Makenzie Broussard, Amber Broussard, Kade, Kody and Karson Breaux, Shaw and Cameron Guillotte; and a brother, Ira Prince and wife Audrey of Lydia. Mr. Prince was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Prince, Sr. and Blanche Guidroz Prince; a grandson, Jeremy Prince; five brothers, Ernest Prince, Jr., Lyman, Galen, Lawrence and Leroy Prince; and three sisters, Genieve Pichoff, Hilda Borel and Anna Bell Grantham. Pallbearers will be Ralph Prince, Harold Bubbie Prince Jr., Ricky Prince, Paula Prince Dooley, Doyle Dooley Jr., Shawn Prince, Gene Prince and Trevor Broussard. Honorary pallbearers will be Ira Prince, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The Prince family would like to give a special thanks to Myra, Michelle and Sherry Prince, Verlin and Donna Miller.
