Erath - Lucille Landry Dugas, 99, of Henry, passed away at 12:10 PM Monday, March 13, 2006, in Abbeville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 Noon, Thursday, March 16, 2006, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, in Erath, with Rev. Cedric Sonnier as the Celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Readers for the Mass will be Donna Carter and Berna Dugas. Gift Bearers include Tessie Dugas, Megan Dugas, and Katrina Carter. Altar Servers will be Cody Dugas, Beau Dugas, and Nicole Dugas. Born on December 14, 1906, in Vermilion Parish, Mrs. Dugas is the daughter of Duclas and Theoza Broussard Landry. She was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church, in Henry, the Ladies Altar Society, and the Henry Volunteer Fire Dept. Survivors include her son, Don Dugas and wife Nelies of Henry; grandchildren, Clint Dugas and Ken Dugas both of Henry, Mike Carter, Allen Carter, and Doyle Carter all of Lake Charles; 11 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ewell Dugas; a daughter, Earline Carter; sister, Edith Broussard. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Clint Dugas, Ken Dugas, Mike Carter, Allen Carter, Doyle Carter, and Dustin Dugas. A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at David Funeral Home, in Erath. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Wednesday. Visitation will continue Thursday, from 8:00 AM until time of service. David Funeral Home of Erath is in charge of the arrangements.
