New Iberia"A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mrs. Minos Delcambre, Sr., the former Janet Valerie Baye, 78, on Friday, March 17, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. The Reverend Paul Onuegbe will serve as celebrant. Interment will follow in Broussard Cemetery, Bayou Petit Anse Community. Serving as altar servers will be Brandon Domingue, Matthew Gaspard, and Kyle Domingue. Readers will be Emily Velazquez and Felicia Gaspard, and gift-bearers will be Laura Gaspard, Skye Gaspard, and Emily Delcambre. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2006 from 2:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M., with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Friday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home. Mrs. Delcambre died on Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at 5:45 A.M. in a New Iberia care facility. A native of Thibodaux, Mrs. Delcambre was a long time resident of New Iberia. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Survivors include her daughters, Mary Linda Delcambre of New Iberia, Barbara Velazquez and husband, Frank of Lafayette, Brenda Bourque of New Iberia, Sandra Gaspard and husband, Warren of St. Martinville, Sally Delcambre of New Iberia, and Betty Hoxworth and husband, Scott of New Iberia; sons, Minos Delcambre, Jr., Timmy Delcambre and wife, Bobbye, and Lonnie Delcambre, all of New Iberia; and stepdaughter, Joann Forrester of Naples, FL. She is also survived by 32 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Preceding Mrs. Delcambre in death are her husband, Minos Delcambre, Sr.; parents, Felix and Edwina Baye; sister, Emelda Baye; brothers, Edmond and Joseph Baye; grandsons, Ronald Bourque, Jr. and Kevin Bourque; great-grandsons, Warren Trey Gaspard III and Johnathon Stoner Velazquez; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bolsie Landry and Mr. and Mrs. Ludovie Baye. Serving as pallbearers are Lonnie Delcambre, Minos Delcambre III, Shannon Delcambre, Adam Delcambre, James Gaspard, and Jason Gaspard. Honorary pallbearers are Lance Simmons, Nichlos Gaspard, Ryan Gaspard, Warren Gaspard, Jr., Jeremy Broussard, Timmy Delcambre, Jr., Lawrence Domingue, Marcus Picard, Brandon Domingue, Jacob Hoxworth, William Hoxworth, Chad Gaspard, Matthew Gaspard, Kyle Domingue, and Devon Gaspard.
