New Iberia -Services for Barbara Tomlinson Trappey, 77, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Peters Catholic Church with the Rev. Mike Champagne officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Visiting hours will be observed today from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 7 p.m. at David Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Monday at 8 a.m. until the time of service. A native of Franklin and a resident of Lafayette, Ms. Trappey died at 9:37 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2006, at Louisiana Extended Care Hospital in Lafayette. Ms. Trappey had the gift of unconditional love for her family and friends. She is survived by; George J. Trappey Jr.; nine children, Laura Trappey Broussard and husband Louis, Brenda Trappey LeBlanc; George J. Trappey III and wife Donna, all of New Iberia, Dr. Bernard A. Trappey and wife Ann of Kentwood, Bernie Trappey-Ronkartz and husband Byron of Lafayette, Claire Trappey Daly and husband David Daly Sr. of New Iberia, Albert J. Trappey and wife Susie of Lafayette, John G. Trappey and wife Tessie, and Michael V. Trappey and fiance Simone Braquet, all of New Iberia; a sister, Ann T. Autin of Harahan; 24 grandchildren, Lisa B. Hardwick of Mandeville, Leah E. Broussard of Gulf Shores, Ala., Timothy J. LeBlanc Jr. of New Iberia, Kenton P., Jed M., Drew M. and Katy L. LeBlanc, all of Lafayette, Ashley T. Boyle of Doyles Town, Penn., Angela T. Cestia of New Iberia, Dr. George J. Trappey IV of Charlotte, N.C., Alison K. Trappey, Ann Carol Trappey, both of Baton Rouge, Amy L. Trappey of New Iberia, Ellen E. Trappey of Jackson, Miss., Ben E. Trappey of Nashville, Tenn., Barry J. Boullion Jr. of French Camp, Miss., Betsy B. Whitlock of Hammond, David Daly Jr. of Baton Rouge, Blair A. Daly of New Iberia, Marcus C. Daly, David Paul Trappey, both of Lafayette, Lidia M. and Hannah A. Trappey, both of New Iberia, and Payton Schexnayder of Carencro; and 14 great-grandchildren. Ms. Trappey was preceded in death by her parents, William and Bernardine Loustalot Tomlinson; a daughter, Barbara Ann Trappey; a son-in-law, Timothy J. LeBlanc Sr.; a brother, Edgar Tomlinson; two half-brothers, Robert and William Tomlinson; and a grandson, Donald D. Trappey. Pallbearers will be George J. Trappey III, Dr. Bernard A. Trappey, Albert J., John G. and Michael V. Trappey, Louis Broussard and David Daly. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.
