New Iberia"Funeral services for Mr. Lloyd Anthony Walker, 60, of New Iberia will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. in David Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverend Richard Fabre will officiate. Interment will follow in Beau Pre Cemetery, Jeanerette. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 3, 2006 from 11:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. in the funeral home, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home. Mr. Walker died on Saturday, April 1, 2006 in New Iberia. A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mr. Walker was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church. An avid horse rider and trainer, he was a sponsor of Sugarena Sugasheaux, whose members will sadly miss him. He was also a member of American Quarter Horse Association. Survivors include his former wife, Denise Theriot Walker of Jeanerette; sons, Troy Walker and wife, Marykay of New Iberia and Brett Walker of Jeanerette; daughter, Kimberly Walker of Shreveport; brothers, Kenwood Walker and wife, Connie and Elton Walker and wife, Beb, all of New Iberia; sister, Shirley Walker of Pigeon Forge, TN, Theresa Myers, and Mae Hayes, both of Lafayette; grandchild, Robin Sonnier of Jeanerette; and friend and companion, Linda Lassalle of New Iberia. Preceding Mr. Walker in death are his parents, Michel and Enola Landry Walker; and brothers, Mitchell and Gordy Walker. Serving as pallbearers are Troy and Brett Walker, Darryl Myers, Jake Boudreaux, and Kenwood and Elton Walker. David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
