Dorothy Kennedy Cain

New Iberia " Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Jack Lundy Cain, Sr., age 88, the former Dorothy Eleanor Kennedy on Thursday July 23, 2009 at 1:30PM at David Funeral Home Chapel in New Iberia with Reverend Scott Bullock, Pastor of the 1 ^st United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in New Iberia. Visitation will be Thursday at 10:00AM until service time.

A native of Monroe, La. and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Cain died at 8:40AM in a local hospital. She loved taking trips with her husband, collecting Cookbooks, and playing bridge with friends. Mrs. Cain was a member of the 1 ^st United Methodist Church, A Pink Lady at Dauterive Hospital, and a former member of the New Iberia Womens Club.

She is survived by daughter Judy Cain of Baton Rouge, son Jack Lundy Cain, Jr. and wife Bonnie Markle Cain of Sagamore Hills, Ohio, and two grandsons, Benjamin Robert Cain of Bedford, Ohio and Philip Andrew Cain of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Mrs. Cain was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Lundy Cain, Sr. (originally from Texarkana, Texas), and was the child of the late Elmer Kennedy and Myrtle Irene Snow Kennedy of Camden, Arkansas.
