New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Vernest J. Broussard, the former Mary Eula Leleux, Age 78 at 2:00PM Wednesday March 11, 2009 at Our Lady of Perpetural Help Catholic Church with Father Mark Derise officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum. Visitation will be Tuesday March 10, 2009 from 2:00PM until 9:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:30PM. Visitation will resume Wednesday from 10:00AM until service time. A native and lifelong resident of Iberia Parish Mrs. Broussard died Sunday March 8, 2009 at 7:30PM at her sons residence in Lafayette. Survivors include three sons; Roger Broussard and wife Mickey of New Iberia, Steven J. Broussard and wife Barbara of Lafayette and Tommy Broussard of New Iberia, three sisters; Lorraine L. Sparks of Alvin, Texas, Emma L. Sutton of Houston, Texas and Lena L. Esfeller of New Iberia, grandchildren; Scott Broussard and wife Allison of Rockchester, New York, Phillip Broussard and wife Kim of Lafayette and Patrick Broussard of Covington, Shelly Broussard of New Iberia, Nicole Broussard of Thibodaux, Natalie Broussard of Baton Rouge and Claire Broussard Lasseigne and husband Jarett of Lafayette and five great grandchildren, Taylor, Kameron, Ashlyn and Jake Broussard of Rochester, New York and Chloe Lasseigne of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her husband Vernest J. Bruce Broussard, her parents; Maurice Joseph and Elmire Landry Leleux one sister; Mrs. Nelson Enola Boudreaux, Sr. and five brothers; Allen, Murphy, Maurice Lawrence , Harry and Wade Leleux. Pallbearers will be Patrick and Darryl Broussard, Nathan Cormier, Terry Esfeller, Jarret Lasseigne and Norman Brignac.
