James Dale Stanley Abbeville- Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 29, 2006 at 1 PM at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Abbeville for James Dale Stanley, 60. Dale was born in New Roads, La on October 13, 1945 and went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 26, 2006 at 2:52 PM at The Heart Hospital of Lafayette. Dale served his country with dignity and loyalty in the Army Reserves. He coached T-Ball up to Bronco in the Pony Baseball League for 12 years. His life was guided by a philosophy of teaching our youth the Lessons of Life and saw in the youth of our area the future of a better and greater community. The Rev. Chester Arceneaux will conduct the funeral mass, assisted by Seminarian Brady LeBlanc. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church Cemetery in Leroy. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years Linda Comeaux Stanley of Abbeville; a daughter Kimberly Ann Landry and her husband Scott of Abbeville; two sons, Brian Keith Stanley and his wife Michelle of Houston, TX, and Dale Lee Stanley and his wife Sheila of Maurice, LA; a sister, Brenda S. Mikel of Marietta, Georgia; five brothers, Captain Louis D. Stanley of Baton Rouge, La, John Brent Stanley of Baton Rouge, LA, Mark Howard Stanley of Bayton, Tx, Timothy James Stanley of Lafayette, and Jerry Edwin Ed Stanley III of Abbeville. He is also survived by his grandchildren who held a very dear place in his heart, Gabrielle Paige Stanley, Logan Scott Landry, Darian Lynn Stanly, Brannigan Angelle Landry, Bailee Layne Stanley and Ahna Claire Baby Girl Landry. He was also survived by numerous important and dear friends and co-workers. He was preceded in death by his father Jerry Edwin Stanley and his mother, Anne Garnet Monceret. Gift bearers for the funeral mass will be the true treasure of Dales life, his grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Landry, Lee Stanley, Brian Stanley, Ed Stanley, David Blaze, and Kolby Stanley. Honorary pallbearers will be Logan Landry, Louis D. Stanley, John Brent Stanley, Mark Howard Stanley, Timothy James Stanley. The family requests that visitation be observed Friday, April 28, 2006 from 10 AM till 9 PM and continue Saturday, April 29, 2006 from 9 AM till time of service. A rosary will be prayed by Seminarian Brady LeBlanc Friday evening at 7 PM.
