Lafayette - Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 23, 2006 at 10:30 AM at St. Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville for Evie Lannie Rabeaux Trahan, 88. Evie was born on October 19, 1917 in Youngsville and went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 20, 2006 at 9:56 PM at The Rehabilitation Hospital of Acadiana. The Rev. Louis Vu will conduct the funeral mass. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Church Cemetery in Milton. The family requests the visitation be observed on Wednesday, March 22, 2006 from 10 AM until 9 PM and continue Thursday from 8 AM until time of service. A rosary will be prayed Wednesday evening at 7 PM. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Lafayette. She is survived by two stepchildren, Willis Trahan and wife Lucille of Youngsville, and Gladys Frederick of Erath, LA; brothers, Edwin Rabeaux and wife Rose of Abbeville, Gustave Junior Rabeaux and wife Mary of Youngsville, and Chester Rabeaux and wife Helen of Henderson; sisters, Rose Trahan and husband Robley, and Eula Trahan, all of Lafayette; 18 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Gustave Rabeaux, Sr. and her mother, Odelia Moreaux Rabeaux; her husband, Adriene Dien Trahan; stepchildren, Betty Trahan, Lucille Sonnier, Lloyd Trahan, and Purvis Trahan; brother, John Rabeaux; sisters, Effie Hebert, Victoria Romero, Aline Trahan, and Elina Rouley; and a grandchild, Debbie Trahan. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Southpark Community Hospital,(LTAC) The Rehabilitation Hospital of Acadiana, to Journey Hospice, and in particular to Dr. Belgodere, Dr. Deltoro, Dr. Meza, and Dr. Hollen. Serving as pallbearers will be Gustave Rabeaux, Jr., Chester Rabeaux, David Trahan, Michael Groetsch, Brian Broussard, Travis Broussard, Jonathon Choplin, and Damian Broussard.
