New Iberia.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday March 27, 2006 at 10:00 AM at St. Peters Catholic Catholic Church for Mrs. Claude Lopez, Sr. Age 82, the former Lorraine Castille. Interment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum. Father Jude Halphen will officiate and conduct the services. Visiting hours will be observed Sunday March 26 from 2:00 PM till 9:00 PM and will reopen Monday March 27 at 8:00 AM until time of services. A rosary will be prayed Sunday March 26 at 6:30 PM Mrs. Lopez died Friday March 24 at 4:55 PM in a New Iberia Hospital. She was a native of Breaux Bridge and a resident of New Iberia. Mrs. Lopez was a loving and caring person to all. She enjoyed bowling and was a volunteer at the St. Francis Diner. She was a giving and unselfish person who enjoyed the company of all her family. Mrs. Lopez is survived by six sons: Claude Lopez, Jr. and his fiance Amanda Hebert, Kenneth Lopez and his wife Dianne, Michael L. Lopez, Matthew Lopez and his wife Lanae, Melvin Lopez, and Glenn Lopez all of New Iberia, five daughters: Loren Lopez Savoie and her husband Jeffrey, Janice Lopez Talley and her husband Perry, Stephanie Lopez LeBlanc all of New Iberia, Claudia Lopez Landry and her husband Joel of Broussard, and Katherine Lopez Segura and her husband Eugene of Youngsville. She is also survived by one sister: Lula Mae C. Bienvenue of Breaux Bridge and three Brothers: Carlton Kit Castille, Raymond Castille and Richard Castille all of Breaux Bridge. 22 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceeded in death by her husband Claude Lopez, Sr., her parents Moise Castille and Angelina Broussard Castille, a daughter Linda Lopez Landry, a granddaughter, Tina Landry and a brother Melvin Castille. Serving as pallbearers will be Kenneth Lopez, Michael Lopez, Matt Lopez, Melvin Lopez, Glenn Lopez and Claude Lopez, Jr. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Grant Bienvenue. David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of funeral arrangements.
