- Funeral services will be held Monday, May 29, 2006 at 10 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Broussard for Mrs. Joe Trahan, Rose Amay Meaux Trahan,61. Rose was born on December 15, 1944 in Lafayette and went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 25, 2006 at 5:53 PM at University Medical Center in Lafayette. The Rev. Peter Emusa, Associate Pastor of Sacred Heart Church will conduct the funeral service. Entombment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Joe Trahan; a daughter, Melanie Breaux and her husband Randy of Duson; two sons, Ernest Trahan and his wife Shanna of Lafayette and Ryan Trahan also of Lafayette; his grandchildren Britney Crochet of Lafayette, Dylan Crochet of Lafayette, Cody Breaux of Duson, Haley Breaux of Duson, and Hunter Trahan of Lafayette; three brothers, James Edwain Meaux and wife Myrtle of Lafayette, Alfred Meaux and friend Cathy of Maurice, and Norris Meaux and his wife Alice of Milton; her best friend, Beth Bakler of Lafayette, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Clarfey Meaux, and her mother Bella Meaux. Serving as pallbearers will be Ernest Trahan, Carl Meaux, Ryan Trahan, Randy Breaux, Patrick Trahan, and Dylan Crochet. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Cody Breaux, Brandon Castille, and Brian Meaux. The family requests that visitation be observed Sunday, May 28, 2006 from 10 AM till 10 PM and continue Monday, from 8 AM till time of service. A rosary will be prayed Sunday evening by Deacon Cody Miller at 7 PM.
