Loving husband and father NEW IBERIA - Services for LuFiade T-June Joseph Lasseigne Jr., 48, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, May 29, 2006 at David Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Fabre officiating. Interment will follow in Beau Pre Cemetery. Visiting hours will be observed Sunday, May 28, 2006 from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 7 p.m. at David Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Monday, May 29, 2006 at 8 a.m. until the time of service. A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Lasseigne died at 8:10 a.m. Friday, May 26, 2006, at Iberia Medical Center. Mr. Lasseigne was a 1977 graduate of New Iberia Senior High. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed spending time with his family especially his son, Drew. Mr. Lasseigne was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church. He was previously employed at Howard Brothers, Fremins, Port Electric, N.L. McCullough and Imperial Pipe Recovery. Mr. Lasseigne was a Service Supervisor II completed 15 years of service with Halliburton Energy Service. He was a true professional at work who was trusted and admired. During his years of service, he proved himself many times by completing all the technical requirements of his job (Specialist I, Specialist II and Advance Training). On several occasions customers like BHP and Hunt Oil Co. commended him on a job well done and the ability to go beyond the call of duty. The pride he demonstrated in performing his job earned him the Halliburton MVP Award for Performance Recognition. He is survived by his wife, Terilyn Lasseigne; a son, Drew M. Lasseigne; and a sister, Linda Delahoussaye. Mr. Lasseigne was preceded in death by his parents, Lufiade Joseph Red Lasseigne Sr. and Hilda Boullion Lasseigne; and a sister, Bernice L. Gachassin. Pallbearers will be James Latiolais, Irving Derouen, Kurt Rivet, Dwayne Dugas, Brody Copell and Kendall Migues. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy, Doug, Ryan, Megan, Brandon and Jared Gaspard, Rebecca Copell, Megan Gaspard, and Brandon Gaspard. David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of the arrangements.
