New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Friday June 2, 2006 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Mike Arnaud officiating for Eloy Dore, Sr. Age 76 who died Monday May 29, 2006 at 11:00PM at Consolata Nursing Home. Interment will follow in St. Peters Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00PM Thursday in the funeral home.Visitation hours will be observed Thursday June 1, 2006 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM and will resume Friday June 2, 2006 from 8:00 AM till time of services. Eloy was a native of Iberia Parish currently living in New Iberia. He was owner of The Oriental Club where famous musical groups performed here in New Iberia. He also owned the Golden Cast Supper Club in Port Arthur, Texas and Club Dora Villa here in New Iberia. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by two sons Eddie Dore of Houston, Texas and Eloy Dore, Jr. of New Iberia. Two brothers, Ted Dore and wife Gail of New Iberia and Ned Dore and wife Gretchen of Lafayette. One sister Jerreline D. Belaire and husband Robert also of New Iberia. Two grandchildren Amanda Dore of Houston, Texas and Elijah Dore of New Iberia. He was preceeded in death by his parents, Eddie E. Dore and Henrietta "Niara" Viator Dore. Pallbearers will be Ted, Ned, Eddie and Eloy Dore, Jr., Robert Belaire and Joe Harrell. Honorary pallbearers will be his many friends and acquaintances. David Funeral Home on New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
