Ray Anthony Cunningham

January 2, 1935 — June 29, 2006

Jeanerette- Funeral Services will be conducted for Ray A. Cunningham, Age 71 at 1:00PM Monday July 3, 2006 at David Funeral Home Chapel in Jeanerette with Father Ralph Landry officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 8:00AM till service time. A rosary will be recited Monday at 11:00AM. Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery. He died Thursday June 29, 2006 at 11:10PM at his residence.

A native of Terrebonne Parish Mr. Cunningham was a longtime resident of Jeanerette. He worked for the City of Jeanerette; he was also a security guard and at one time was a boat captain. He was a member of the Louisiana National Guard and loved to fish.

Survivors include his mother, Bess Authement Cunningham of Jeanerette, three daughters, Julie Romero and Tammy Romero both of New Iberia andRaye Ann Cunningham of West Texas. One son Mark Cunningham of Lafayette. Three sisters Miriam C. Breaux and Faye C. Borel and husband Larry both of Jeanerette and Iona Rogers of Lockport. One brother Roy Cunningham and wife Jennette of New Iberia. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeff Cunningham, his father Ernest J. Cunningham and two sisters, Beulah Moore and Joyce C. Colletti.
