Services for Andrew Andy Francois Thibodeaux, 55, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at David Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Cormier officiating. Interment will follow in Beau Pre Cemetery in Jeanerette with military honors. Visiting hours will be observed today from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 7 p.m. at David Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Friday at 8 a.m. until the time of service. A native of Weeks Island and a lifelong resident of Lydia, Mr. Thibodeaux died at 12:25 a.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2006, at his residence. Mr. Thibodeaux worked as a boat skipper and commerical fisherman. He loved the simple and carefree life, preferring to spend as much time as possible on the water. Mr. Thibodeaux was a United States Navy veteran and was a member of the Methodist faith. He is survived by his loving companion, Cynthia Landry of Jeanerette; a son, Christian Paul Thibodeaux of Lafayette; a daughter, Ashley Nicole Thibodeaux; mother, Mildred Decuir Thibodeaux; a brother, Ronald Joseph Thibodeaux and wife Miriam; a sister, Alice Thibodeaux Boudreaux and husband Ray, all of Lydia; and by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and a host of friends. Mr. Thibodeaux was preceded in death by his father, Orie Joseph Thibodeaux. Pallbearers will be Dana Boutte, Monty Howard, Nick Boudreaux, Darrell Prince, Ronnie Jo Thibodeaux, Mitchell Beano Prudhomme, Todd Semar and Tracy Cuccio. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Hubbard, Jan Hebert, Debbie Prince, Norman Dago Hebert Sr., Jimmy Derise, Scott Legnon, Rory Thibodeaux, Miguel Espana, Ray Lazara, Ray Boudreaux, David Doc Falterman, Davis Stud Theriot, Stafford Migues, Ray and Glen Rougue Jolet.
