John Segura

September 13, 1919 — February 26, 2006

New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00AM Tuesday Feb. 28, 2006 at David Funeral Home Chapel for Mr. John Segura, age 86, with Rev. Mr. Ulysse Boudreaux officiating. A rosary will be recited at 7:00PM Monday evening at the funeral home. Visitation will begin at 4:00PM Monday afternoon till 9:00PM in the evening. The visitation will begin again Tuesday morning at 8:00 AM till service time. Burial will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum. He died at 5:00AM Sunday Feb. 26 at New Iberia Manor Nursing Home South in New Iberia. Mr. Segura was a native and lifelong resident of Iberia Parish having worked for International Salt Co. at Avery Island for 35 years.He loved dancing and bingo. He is survived by two daughters and two sons; Susan S. Broussard and husband Bill of New Iberia; Doris S. Sheldon of Loreauville, John Wayne Segura and wife Lucette of New Iberia and Perry James Segura of West Palm Beach, Florida. Ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Anitus and Elena Bonin Segura, and one sister Mae S. Meyers. Pallbearers will be family and friends. David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
