Erath- Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Erath for Mrs. Celie DuBois, the former Willa Vincent, 90. The Rev. Wayne Duet will conduct the funeral services with burial to follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Church Cemetery in Erath. The family requests that visitation be observed Tuesday, January 23, 2007 from 11 am till 10 pm and continue Wednesday from 8 am till service time. A rosary will be prayed Tuesday evening at 7 pm. Ms. Willa was born in Erath on February 10, 1916 and went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 22, 2007 at Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia. She enjoyed working around her home where she loved gardening and mowing her lawn. Mrs. Willa Dubois can be characterized by anyone who knew her as a person of great faith and believed strongly in the power of prayer. She is survived by her son, Jean Dubois and his wife Joanne Jabbia of Erath, LA; grand daughter, Angela Choate and her husband Wade of Erath and a grandson, Brandon Dubois and his wife, Cherie of Erath; her great grand children, Lauren and Eric Choate and Tucker and Justin Dubois. She is preceded in death by her husband, Celie DuBois, her father, Elias Vincent, and her mother, Blanche Theriot Vincent, her brothers, Niles Vincent, Claude Vincent, Felias Vincent, Wilton Vincent and her sisters, Cloude Menard, Clothilde Dronet, Nola LeBlanc, Nela LeBlanc, and Nildes Norton. The family would like to express a special word of thanks and gratitude to the staff of Iberia Manor North Nursing Home for their dedicated service to Ms. Willa.
