Erath " Funeral services for Beverly Coon Derouen, 73, will be held Wednesday, June 28 , 2006 at 5:00 PM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Erath. He was born on January 28, 1933 and went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 25, 2006 at 11:55 PM at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette. The Rev. Wayne Duet will conduct the funeral service with burial to follow at the church cemetery. Beverly Coon was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion, and the Veteran of Foreign Wars (VFW) He is survived by his wife, Anna Belle Boudreaux Derouen of Erath; one son, Tony Derouen and his wife Laura of Erath; two daughters, Cynthia Marceaux of Forked Island, and Norma Primeaux and her husband Jude of Erath; one sister Ruby Gastal of Cow Island; one brother Ferris Derouen and wife Jackie of New Iberia; ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and three step-grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; Varies and Edley Leblanc Derouen; one son, Toddy Derouen; one grandson, Bobby Derouen; one brother Robert Louis Derouen; two sisters, Mazie Laviolette, and Brenda Joyce Derouen Pallbearers will be Logan Primeaux, Rusty Primeaux, Adam Derouen, Jeremy Marceaux, Gerald Gastal, Ferris Derouen, Jr., Paul Allen Broussard, and Chris Frith. Serving as honorary pall bearers will be Jared Menard and Kyle Landry. The family requests that visitation be observed Tuesday, June 27, 2006 from 4 PM till 10 PM and will continue Wednesday, from 8 AM till time of service.
