Loreauville"A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Julius Prince, the former Lena Dugas, 91, of New Iberia and formerly of Loreauville, will be celebrated on Thursday, July 20, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. in St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Reverend Mario Romero will serve as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2006 from 9:00 A.M. until service time in David Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home. Mrs. Prince passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at 2:15 P.M. in a New Iberia care facility. A native and lifelong resident of Loreauville, Mrs. Prince served as Justice of the Peace for 25 years, presiding over countless weddings during that time. She enjoyed dancing, sewing, and visiting with family and friends. Mrs. Prince was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mary P. Guillot and husband, Joseph Guillot III of Loreauville; granddaughter, Angela Guillot and companion, Joseph Hillard of Loreauville; grandsons, Adam Guillot and companion, Jacquie Dastugue of Loreauville and Joseph Guillot IV and wife, Jamie of Catahoula; and great-grandchildren, Brittny and Kandis Guillot and Chason Alexander of Loreauville, and Jaden Guillot of Catahoula. Mrs. Prince also leaves behind a host of friends and other relatives. Preceding Mrs. Prince in death are her husband, Julius Prince; parents, Moise and Amelina Rodrigue Dugas; sons, Wesley John Prince and Gary James Prince; brothers, Marcel and Eugenia Broussard; and sisters, Leonie Dugas and Clementine Broussard. Serving as pallbearers are Joseph Hillard, Adam Guillot, Joseph Guillot III, Joseph Guillot IV, Michael Decoux, and Gary Prince. David Funeral Home of Loreauville is in charge of arrangements.
