Lelia Toups

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at 2 PM at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church for Mrs. Essey H. Toups, Lelia Hardy Toups, 87. Lelia was born in Abbeville on August 14, 1918 and went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 27, 2006 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Abbeville. The Rev. Glenn Meaux will conduct the funeral service. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery in Abbeville. She is survived by a son, Donald Toups and his wife Beverly of Lafayette; two daughters, Theresa Kaye Mouton and her husband Avery of Youngsville and Gloria Abshire and her husband, the late Murphy Abshire of Abbeville. She is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Essey Toups, her parents Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hardy, and four brothers, Assey Hardy, Easton Hardy, Awill Hardy, and Ettiene Hardy. The family requests that visitation be observed Monday, May 29, 2006 from 9 AM till 9 PM and continue Tuesday, from 9:30 AM till time of service. A rosary will be prayed Monday evening at 7 PM. David Funeral Home of Abbeville is in charge of arrangments.
