New Iberia"Funeral services with traditional Buddhist rites for Mr. Phonesanouk Phylavong, 46, of New Iberia will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Phylavongs earthly remains will be cremated according to Buddhist custom following the funeral service. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 7, 2007 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home. Mr. Phylavong passed away on Monday, July 3, 2006 at 1:40 A.M. in his residence, surrounded by his loving family. A native of Laos, Mr. Phylavong was a graduate of Teche Area Vocational-Technical School. He had been employed at Marine Industrial Fabrication for 11 years as a welder. Mr. Phylavong was a member of the Buddhist Temple in Coteau. Survivors include his wife, Benchamin Phylavong of New Iberia; sons, Phonemarinh Danny Phylavong and Eddie Phylavong of New Iberia; parents, Khamphouk and Manivanh Phylavong of Laos; brothers Kan, Souk, Kham, and Sang Phylavong of Laos; and a sister, EL Phylavong of Laos. David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
