JEANERETTE " Services for Charles Ba Boy Borel, 69, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at David Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. A.L. Lyle officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Pentecostal Cemetery with military graveside services conducted by V.F.W. Post 1982. Visiting hours will be observed Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at David Funeral Home. A native of Louisa and a resident of Jeanerette, Mr. Borel died at 7:50 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 2006, at his residence. Mr. Borel was retired from Thomas E. Kelly Boat Works as a welder for 25 years. He loved to hunt, fish and spend time with his family. He had a hard exterior but a tender heart. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam. He is survived by his wife, Mary Virginia Palombo Borel of Jeanerette; three daughters, Cathy LeBlanc and husband Peter of Jeanerette, Wendy Adams of Springfield, Ore., and Shonda Owens of Jeanerette; a brother, Adrian Borel and wife Audrey; and five grandchildren, Peter C.J. C. LeBlanc, Desiree LeBlanc, Tristen, Sharon and Blair Owens, all of Jeanerette. Mr. Borel was preceded in death by his parents, Enoch and Lenore Broussard Borel; and a sister, Violet B. Turner. Pallbearers will be Cathy LeBlanc, Wendy Adams, Shonda Owens, Peter J. LeBlanc, Peter C. LeBlanc, Steve Owens Jr., Carrol Borel Jr. and Gerard LeBlanc. Honorary pallbearers will be Adrian Borel, Desiree LeBlanc, Tristen, Sharon and Blair Owens and Larry Duhon Jr. David Funeral Home of Jeanerette is in charge of the arrangements.
