Loving Husband and Papa Jeanerette"A Mass of Christian Burial for Troy Matthew Zimmerman, 44, of Jeanerette will be celebrated on Thursday, August 3, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The Reverend Ed Degeyter will serve as celebrant. Interment will follow in Beau Pre Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2006 from 5:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 P.M. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home. Mr. Zimmerman passed away on Tuesday, August 01, 2006 at 9:50 A.M. in a New Iberia hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Jeanerette, Mr. Zimmerman enjoyed fishing, boating, and camping. Mr. Zimmerman is survived by his wife, Lisa Clement Zimmerman of Jeanerette; daughters, Keri Hargis and husband Chad of Jeanerette and Hannah Zimmerman of Jeanerette; brothers Herman Zimmerman, Jr of Jeanerette and Timmy Zimmerman and wife, Virginia of Jeanerette; and granddaughters, Alexis and Victoria Hargis of Jeanerette. Preceding Mr. Zimmerman in death are his parents, Herman Zimmerman, Sr. and Marjorie Ann Rogers Zimmerman; and a brother, Ronald Paul Zimmerman. Serving as pallbearers are Timmy Zimmerman, Herman Zimmerman, Jr., Brad Clements, Terry Credeur, Chad Hargis, and Francis Bruce Broussard. Named as honorary pallbearers are Lionel Sing Broussard, E.J. Duhon, Zed LaCour, Ron LaCour, Garrette Broussard, Tyler Duhon, Ben Zimmerman, Chad One Arm Gun Landry, and Charlie Stages. David Funeral Home of Jeanerette is in charge of arrangements.
