Frank A. Prados, Jr.

Loreauville- Funeral services will be conducted for Frank A. Prados, Jr.,age 85,Friday, August 28, 2009 at 11:00AMat St. Josephs Catholic Church with Fr. Buddy Breaux officitating. Military graveside services conducted by VFW Post 1982 will follow in St. Josephs Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, August 27, 2009 from 2:00PM until 10:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 7:00PM and will resume Friday, August 28, 2009 at 8:00AM until service.

A native of St. Martinville and resident of Loreauville, Mr. Prados died Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at 9:40AM at his residence. He was a member of St. Jospeh Catholic Church and veteran of the Navy in WWII. Mr. Prados was a master gardener and retired from Par Industries after many years of service.

Survivors include his daughters, Elizabeth Agnes Cantwell, Melanie Claire Norman and husband Kim, all of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Gwendolyn P. Watkins and Jayna P. Mestayer and husband Benny, all of Loreauville; his son, Shane Patrick Prados of Loreauville; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; his brother, Leroy Prados of Loreauville; sisters, Verna Mae Derouen of Avery Island and Marie Eberle of Salem, Indiana.

Mr. Prados was preceded in death by his wife, Madeline Barras Prados; his parents, Frank A. Prados, Sr. and Elizabeth Blanchard; sons, Kerry Adam Prados and Randall David Prados; daughter, Doskye Ann Prados; brothers, Isaac Prados, Charles Prados, and John Prados; and sister, Martha Bernard.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
