Loreauville- Funeral Services will be conducted for Edmond John Ed Broussard, age 69, at St. Josephs Catholic Church at 11:00AM Saturday, September 23, 2006 with Father Mario Romero officiating. Interment will follow in St. Josephs Cemetery. Visitation will begin Friday September 22, 2006 from 11:00AM till 10:00PM with a rosary at 6:00PM and resume Saturday from 8:00AM till time of service.

A native and lifelong resident of Loreauville, Ed enjoyed boating on the Atachafalaya Basin and in Lake Dauterive. He was a member of the Loreauville hunting club. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army. Ed died Wednesday September 20, 2006 at 3:10PM at his residence.

He started his business as Ed Broussard Garage and in later years it became Ed Broussard Marine serving the oil and gas industry.

He is survived by two daughters Bridget B. Bergeron and husband Leslie of Loreauville and Suzanne Broussard of Lafayette, step-daughters, Heather Gonsoulin and husband Darin and Robin Bergeron and husband Tommy all of Loreauville, one brother, John Earl Broussard of New Iberia, grandsons, Jesse Bergeron of Loreauville, Andre Broussard of Lafayette and Kade Gonsoulin of Loreauville, granddaughters, Michelle Bergeron of Loreauville, Victoria Broussard of Lafayette and Nikki Grayson of Loreauville, a great grandson Clay Edmond Broussard of Lafayette and his first wife Brenda Berard of Loreauville.

He was preceded in death by his parents Albert Pep and Henrietta Braquet Broussard, sons, Eddie Boo , Clay and Bret Broussard and daughter Sadie Broussard.

Pallbearers are Jesse Bergeron, Andre Broussard, Jett Berard, Vic Breaux, Henry Crochet, Barry Eldridge, Maury Hebert and Marc Hebert. Honorary pallbearers are Randy Willis and Maurice Hebert.

In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to the St Jude Childrens Research Hospital or the Juvenile Diabetes Association
