New Iberia--A Mass of Christian Burial for Clint Joseph Macip, 16, of Spring, TX will be celebrated on Saturday, August 5, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. The Reverend Slavino Primor will serve as celebrant. Entombment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 4, 2006 from 5:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home.
Clint passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at 6:30 A.M. in his Spring, TX residence.
A native of Lafayette, Clint was a student at Spring High School and a member of St. James Catholic Church in Spring, TX. He enjoyed skateboarding, swimming, playing video games, watching movies, and listening to all kinds of music. He enjoyed playing with his dog, Roscoe, whom he cared for very much. Clint was a talented artist who loved to draw.
Clints survivors include his mother, Pamela Robichaux Macip of Spring, TX; father, Jerry Dean Macip of Parks; brother, John Ray Macip of Spring, TX; aunts, Debbie Viator and husband, Paul and Diane Breaux, all of New Iberia; uncles, John David Robichaux and wife, Rachel, Daniel A. Robichaux and wife, Melinda, Mark J. Robichaux and wife, Stephanie, all of New Iberia, and David Malcip; as well as numerous cousins and a host of friends.
Preceding Clint in death are his maternal grandparents, John Lee and Gloria Robichaux.
Serving as pallbearers are Spencer, Miles, and Nicholas Robichaux, Seth and Lance Viator, and Blake Breaux.
Named as honorary pallbearers are John Ray Macip, Josh Romero, and Travis Savoy.
David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
