LOVING WIFE, MOTHER, AND GRANDMOTHER New Iberia"A funeral service celebrating the life of Mrs. Harry Bud Mills, the former Mary Joyce Griffin, 61, will be held on Friday, September 29, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverend Herman Callais will officiate. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 29, 2006 from 10:00AM till service time at David Funeral Home. Mrs. Mills passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at 7:25 A.M. in a local hospital. A native of Mobile, AL, Mrs. Mills had lived in Houma for several years prior to moving to New Iberia in 1987. She was a special person and a wonderful mother and grandmother who was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her husband, Harry Bud Mills of New Iberia; sons, Mark D. Mills of Columbus, OH and James E. Mills and wife, Linda of Lawrenceville, GA; daughter, Nancy M. Callais and husband, Tim of Katy, TX; brothers, Don, Homer, and Johnny Malone of Meridian, MS; sisters, Dora Chandler of Fremont, CA, Tincy Matthews of Beaumont, TX, and Linda Lascellas of Portland, OR; grandchildren, Brandon and Jeremy Callais of Katy, TX, Zachary Mills of Columbus, OH, and Joey and Sean Sinclair of Lawrenceville, GA. Preceding Mrs. Mills in death are her parents, Leo and Agnes Higginbotham Griffin; and sisters, Marion Stanton and Charlene Godwin. Serving as pallbearers are friends and family of Mrs. Mills. David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
