Erath " A mass of Christian Burial for Arestile Cresto Langlinais, 82, will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2006 at 10:30AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Wayne Duet officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Erath on Friday, September 22, 2006 from 2:00PM until 10:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 5:00PM and 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, September 23, 2006 from 8:00AM until the time of the service, with interment following at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum.

Mr. Langlinais a native of Broussard and a resident of Erath died Thursday, September 21, 2006 at 11:00AM at an Abbeville Hospital. He was the bridge tender for the Woodlawn Bridge, a Vermilion Parish Police Juror for over 19 years, and spent a large part of his life farming. He was known for his love for dancing, playing cards, his grandchildren, going to the horse racesand family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marie LeBlanc Langlinais of Erath; a son, Mike and his wife Jocelyn Langlinais of Youngsville; three daughters, Judy Mistich of Erath, Barbara and her husband Terry Melancon, Sr. of Kaplan, and Cecile Sis and her husband Tony LeBlanc of Erath; three sisters, Ophilda Vice of Erath, Lou May Guidry of New Iberia, and Rena Guidry of Erath; eleven grandchildren, and seventeen great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leotard Langlinais and Marie Elda Boutte Langlinais; a brother, Theodore Langlinais; and two sisters, Ida Stelly, and Aurore Simon

Pallbearers will be Fabian LeBlanc, John Langlinais, Ryan Dartez, Randy Dartez, Terry T.J. Melancon, Jr., and Matthew Suire.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Steven Broussard
