LOVING HUSBAND, FATHER, AND GRANDFATHER Jeanerette"A Mass of Christian Burial for Warren Paul Hebert, Sr., 74, of Jeanerette will be celebrated on Saturday, September 2, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The Reverend Ed Degeyter will serve as celebrant and The Reverend Scott Dugas will serve as concelebrant. Musical selections will be rendered by Warren Hebert, Jr. and his wife, Ramona. Interment with military honors provided by V.F.W. Post 1982 will follow in Beau Pre Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 1, 2006 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 P.M. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home. Mr. Hebert passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2006 at 3:00 P.M. in his Jeanerette residence surrounded by his loving family. A native and lifelong resident of Iberia Parish, Mr. Hebert was a retired insurance agent. He was an active member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Crusillo Group Number 49, the Saturday Morning Rosary Group, and was a Past Captain at Our Lady of the Oaks Retreat House. Mr. Hebert also helped initiate the Perpetual Adoration in Jeanerette. He was a past member of Knights of Columbus, and a member of the Louisiana Cattlemens Association. An Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, Mr. Hebert was a member of V.F.W. Post 8150. He enjoyed the outdoors, and was an avid hunter. Survivors include his wife, Marie Dupre Hebert of Jeanerette; sons, Warren Hebert, Jr. and wife, Ramona of New Iberia, Glenn Hebert and wife, Susan of Lydia, Gregg Hebert and wife, Yvonne of Rynella, Clint Hebert and wife, Pamela of New Iberia, Thomas Hebert, Sr. and wife, Angelle of Rynella, Paul Hebert and wife, Paula of Jeanerette, and John Hebert and wife, Jennifer of Jeanerette; daughters, Laurie LeJeune and husband, David, Sr. of Jeanerette, Sharon Landry and husband, Robby of Jeanerette, and Sandra Norman and husband, Steve of New Iberia; and sisters, Doris Lancon and Joyce Blanchard, both of Jeanerette. Mr. Hebert is also survived by 30 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Preceding Mr. Hebert in death are his parents, Claifey and Emadel Dugas Hebert. Serving as pallbearers are Glenn, Gregg, Clint, Paul, John, and Thomas Hebert, Sr. Named as honorary pallbearers are Warren Hebert, Jr., David LeJeune, Sr., Robby Landry, Steve Norman, Barry Dupre, Dr. N.C. Boudreaux, and Alfred Buteau. David Funeral Home of Jeanerette is in charge of arrangements.
