Esther David Armentor

New Iberia " A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mrs. Ester David Armentor, 93, on Saturday, September 2, 2006, at 9:00 A.M. at David Funeral Home Chapel, with Father Mike Arnaud serving as celebrant. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in New Iberia. A native of Iberia Parish and a resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Armentor died on Thursday, August 31, 2006 at 5:50 P.M. in a local nursing home. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 1, 2006, from 6 P.M. until 9 P.M., and will resume on Saturday, September 2, 2006, from 8 A.M. until services. A rosary service will be recited on Friday, at 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Mrs. Armentor loved playing bingo and enjoy live and being with people. She was employed by the Jefferson Island Salt Mine for over twenty years as a mine worker. She is survived by her daughter, Thelma A. Broussard, and her husband, Robert of New Iberia.; one granddaughter, Susan Andrus and her husband, Larry of New Iberia.; one grandson, Bart A. Broussard and his wife, Beth of St. Martinville.; one great-grandson Brandon Andrus and his wife, Sara of Youngsville.; two great-grandsons, Spencer and Noah Broussard of St. Martinville; and one great-granddaughter, Sarah Broussard of St. Martinville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ignac Armentor and parents, Oneil and Eliza Washespack David; and one brother, Leodise David. Family members will serve as Pallbearers. David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
