Lydia- Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Louis Henry Crochet the former Mamie Nannie Mamie Martin, age 88, at 2:00PM Wednesday September 6, 2006 at St. Nicholas Catholic in Lydia with Father Donovan Labbe officiating. Interment will follow in St. Johns Cemetery in Jeanerette. Visitation will begin Wednesday at 9:00AM at St. Nicholas Church in Lydia till service time. A rosary will be recited at 11:00AM in the Church.Readers will be Lizette Breaux and Lynette Derouen, giftbearers will be Sherry Prince and Hallie Guillotte. A native of St. Mary Parish she has resided in Iberia Parish most of her life. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church. She also was a member of The American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit #365 and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Unit# 1982. The family gives special thanks to niece Sherry Prince and great niece Hallie Guillotte for special care given in the past years. Survivors include sisters Lillie M. Breaux of Lake Charles and Genny M. Crochet of New Iberia. One brother Sidney S.J. Martin and wife Vee of Lydia, La. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis Henry Crochet. Her parents Sidney Martin and Effie Trimble Martin and two sisters Lenora M. Guidry and Shirley M. Arceneaux. Pallbearers will be Bubbie Prince, Gene Prince, Rodney Breaux, Wesley Martin, Charles Guidry, Sr. and Chuck Guidry. Honorary pallbearers will be Shaw Guillotte. David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
