New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Nathan L. Pop Blanchard also known as Not at 1:00PM Monday September 11, 2006 at Highland Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Horn and Rev. David Denton officiating. Interment will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will begin Sunday September 10, 2006 from 10:00AM till 10:00PM and again Monday from 8:00AM till time of service at David Funeral Home on Trotter Street.

A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia Mr. Nathan worked for Deltide Fishing and Rental Tools for the past 5 years. He enjoyed being with his grandchildren and his entire family. He also enjoyed raising his dogs. He was a man who put everyones needs ahead of his own.

Survivors include his wife Ora Faye Roberts Blanchard, his children Stoney Blanchard and wife Kim , daughter Tanya Blanchard Poche and husband William all of New Iberia and son Rocky Blanchard of Coteau, his sister Barbara Ann B. Dubois and husband Harold of New Iberia, brother Jerry Blanchard and wife Rosalie of Port Arthur, Texas, his specialaunt Mae Rose Blanchard of Port Arthur, grandchildren, Quentin and McKenzie Blanchard, Hayden, Haylee and Heath Poche all of New Iberia. He was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Mildred Sandoz Blanchard and a brother Ronnie Blanchard.

Pallbearers will be his sons Stoney and Rocky Blanchard, his brother Jerry Blanchard, his brothers-in-law Tommy Roberts and Harold Dubois and son-in-law William Poche. Honorary pallbearers will be two of his grandsons Quentin Blanchard and Hayden Poche.

David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
