New Iberia- Funeral Services will be conducted for Ravis Thibeaux , Age 94, at 2:00PM Tuesday August 15, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Mark Derise officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. A rosary will be recited at 6:30PM Monday in the Funeral Home.Visitation will begin Monday August 14, 2006 from 4:00PM till 9:00PM and again Tuesday from 8:00AM till service time.

A native of Erath Mr. Ravis was a long time resident of New Iberia who enjoyed volunteering at his church, gardening and cooking. He was a salesman for Gragnons Wholesale for 58 years.

Survivors include his daughter Patsy Albert and her husband Oliver of New Iberia. One son Carrol Thibeaux of New Iberia, his grandchildren, Mary Albert and Faith Hickson both of New Iberia, Jude Albert of Breaux Bridge., Cody Albert of New Iberia, and Susan DAvy of Coteau, La. Mike Thibeaux of Loreauville, Preston Thibeaux, Jr. of New Iberia and Bryan Thibeaux of New Iberia. Eighteen Great-Grandchildren and Eleven GreatGreatGrandchildren He was preceded in death by his wife the former Margaret Mergist Thibeaux, his parents Avery Thibeaux and Azetilde Meyers Thibeaux, One daughter, Mary T. Falgout and one son Preston Thibeaux,Sr., two brothers Wilmer Thibeaux and Murphy Thibeaux , one sister Rita T. Delcambre Sandoz and a granddaughter DAun Shampine.

Pallbearers will be Jude and Cody Albert, Zeke ,Jacob and Dustin DAvy and Jordan LeBlanc. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Thibeaux, Preston Thibeaux, Jr., Bryan Thibeaux, Joseph Handy, Kirk Hickson, Wendell Broussard and Rudy Delcambre.
