Lafayette " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Ulric David the former Eloise Savoy, 89, will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at 11:00AM at St. Anne Catholic Church with Fr. Vu officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Monday, September 25, 2006 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM with the recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM and resume on Tuesday at 8:00AM till services Interment will be in LeBlanc Cemetery.

She is survived by her spouse, Ulric David of Youngsville; one daughter, Della David Trahan and her husband Harold Trahan of Youngsville; three grandchildren, Steven Michael Trahan of Youngsville, Cheryl Elizabeth Dugas and her husband Richard Dugas of Youngsville, and Mark David Trahan and his wife Michele Trahan of Scott; five great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Renee Dugas of Youngsville, Emily Ann Dugas of Youngsville, Eric Anthony Dugas of Youngsville, Ethan Lane Trahan of Scott, and Kade Allen Trahan of Scott; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ida Simon Savoy and Emar Savoy; a sister, Elise Savoy; and a brother, Lores Savoy, Sr.

Mrs. David who died Saturday, September 23, 2006 at 3:20PM at her residence was born and raised on a farm near Youngsville, LA where she attended school and graduated eighth grade. She married Ulric David when she was 14 years old and he was 16. She was a housewife all her life, a great seamstress, and she loved to cook.

Pallbearers will be Richard Dugas, Randy Savoy, Joe David, John David, Kevin Sonnier, and Ethan Trahan.

Alternate Pallbearers will be Robert Abshire and Dwayne Decou.

Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Trahan, Wesley David, Kade Allen Trahan, and Eric Anthony Dugas.

David Funeral Home of Lafayette will be handling the arrangements.
