Jeanerette- Funeral Services will be conducted for Earl Joseph Toe Hebert, Jr. at 2:00PM Tuesday September 26, 2006 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow in Beau Pre Cemetery. Visitation will begin Monday from 11:00AM in Lafayette at David Funeral Home of Lafayette,316 Youngsville Hwy. Lafayette, until 10:00PM with a rosary at 6:00PM. Visitation will resume at 9:00AM Tuesday in Jeanerette at David Funeral Home of Jeanerette, 400 Provost Street, Jeanerette until service time.
Affectionately known as Pop to his family and friends, he died at 7:15PM Saturday September 23, 2006 at his residence.
A native of Jeanerette Pop had been a longtime resident of Lafayette and co-owner of Unlimited Oilfield Supply. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and going to the camp. He was an excellent cook and loved gardening and entertaining. Pop was a great husband, father, grandfather, son and brother.
Survivors include his wife Marie Antoinette Becnel Hebert of Lafayette. Three sons, Joey Hebert, Joshua Shawn Hebert and wife Emily and Jeremy John Hebert all of Lafayette, his father Earl J. Toe Hebert, Sr. of Jeanerette, brother Tony Hebert and wife Debbie of Broussard, sister Teal H. Stroud and husband Charles of Labbedeville, grandchildren, Chase Anthony Hebert of Lydia, Lillian Hope Hebert, Avery Elizabeth Hebert and McKenna Grace Hebert all of Lafayette and Cameron Joseph Purpera of New Roads. He was preceded in death by his mother Geraldine Andre Hebert and sisters Ellen H. Derise and Penny Hebert .
Pallbearers will be Joshua, Jeremy, Joey, Tony, Jordan and Ryan Hebert . Honorary pallbearers will be Cameron Purpera and Chase Hebert.
David Funeral Home of Lafayette and Jeanerette are in charge of arrangements.
