New Iberia ~ Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Grayden D. Grady Evans, age 63 at 2:00 PM Wednesday June 13, 2007 at St. Marcellus Catholic Church in Rynella with Deacon Theo Landry officiating. Visiting hours will be observed Wednesday June 13, 2007 from 9:00 AM until time of services. A rosary will be prayed Wednesday June 13, 2007 at 11:000 AM. Mr. Evans, a native and resident of New Iberia died Sunday June 10, 2007 at 1:20 PM at his residence in New Iberia. Mr. Evans was employed with North American Salt as a storeroom clerk. He enjoyed old western movies, carpentry, traveling, and gardening. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council in Rynella Mr. Evans is survived by his wife of 38 years, Gloria Crochet Evans of New Iberia, his children; Grayson E. Evans and his wife Amy of Loreauville, Mary T. Evans and Amanda R. Evans both of New Iberia and a brother Russell Evans of New Iberia. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren; Ashley R. Anderson, Makayla M. Evans, Joshua D. Evans, and Gavin T. Louviere. Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his parents, Grayden V. Evans and Hazel Mary David Evans, and a daughter Glynis J. Evans. Serving as pallbearers will be Emmet Crochet, Jr., Grayson Evans, Russell Evans, Alfred Crochet, Alcide Crochet and Clint Romero. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Emmet Crochet, III, Kerry Louviere, Jr. and Simon Domingue, Sr. David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of funeral arrangements.
