Loreauville " Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Willie J. Bonin, 100, the former Louise Weber on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2006 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Loreauville with Fr. Ed Degeyter and Fr. Augustinus Seran, S.V.D. officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2006 at 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2006 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be recited by the Catholic Daughters 1401 in the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 6:00 PM. A native of Jeaneretteand lifelong resident of Loreauville, Mrs. Bonin died on Sunday, Oct. 8, 2006 at 3:10 PM at her son's residence. Mrs. Bonin graduated from SLI (ULL) andtaught in the Iberia Parish School System for 27 years. She was a third grade teacher at Loreauville Elementary and taught French and Religion for 5 years at Mount Carmel School. She was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a charter member and Past Grand Regent of the Catholic Daughters of America, Our Lady of Good Counsel Court #1401and was CCD Director of Religion at St. Joseph Catholic Church for 30 years. During WWII she served as supervisor of th civilianRed CrossActivities, 1941 - 1945.She was an accomplished seamstress and an avid gardener. She was survived by her son, Dr. Francis J. Bonin and his wife Beryl of Jeanerette, LA; grandsons, Thomas W. Bonin and his wife Danette of Broussard, LA and John P. Bonin and his wife Judy of Lafayette, LA; granddaughters, Claire B. Myers and her husband Anthony of Lafayette, LA, Sister Theresa Joseph O. P. Elizabeth of Nashville, TN, Catherine B. Herring and her husband Russell of Loreauville, LA, Francine M. Bonin of Jeanerette, LA, and Renee T. Bonin of New Iberia, LA; great grandchildren, Caroline Myers, Adrien Bonin, Magdalene Bonin, Andre Bonin all of Lafayette, LA, Emily Bonin, Camille Bonin both of Broussard, LA and Grace Herring of Loreauville, LA. and her special friends, Mattie Manuel, Vera Lewis, Pat Guillory and Jeanette Little. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie J. Bonin; father, Louis Joseph Weber; mother, Josephine Druilhet Weber; brothers, Roland Weber, Sidney Weber, Lionel Weber; sisters, Carmen W. Haydel, Lucille W. Lancon and Josephine W. Guiberteau. Pallbearers will be Thomas Bonin, John Bonin, Russell Herring, Anthony Myers, James Weber and S. James Mestayer.
