New Iberia " Funeral services will be conducted for Mr. Edward Pep Peltier, 85, on Thursday, October 12, 2006 at 2:00 PM at David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Richard Fabre officiating. Interment will follow at Beau Pre Memorial Park Cemetery in Jeanerette, LA. Military graveside honors will be conducted by V.F.W. Post 1982 of New Iberia.

A native of New Iberia and a resident of Lafayette, Mr. Peltier died on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at 3:35 AM in Lafayette, La.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, October 11, 2006 from 4:00 PM until 10:00 PM and will resume on Thursday, October 12, 2006 from 8 AM until services. A rosary service will be recited on Wednesday at 7:00 PM in the funeral home.

Mr. Peltier was a veteran of WW II and was very proud to have served his country. He was retired from Dugas Auto Repairs, and he enjoyed gardening.

He is survived by his wife, Melba Vice Peltier of Lafayette, LA; and his son, Byron Peltier and his wife Kristen of Lafayette, LA and one sister, Zola Potter of Port Arthur, TX.

He is also survived by three grandchildren, Kyle, Samantha and Hailee Peltier all of Lafayette, LA.

He was preceded in death by his father, Amedias Peltier; his mother, Elizman Norman Peltier; one son, Edward Corey Peltier; three brothers, Otto, Edias and Ignace Peltier; three sisters, Lorenza Bourque, Ester Peltier and Wilda Doucet.

Pallbearers will be Keith Martin, Grayling Vice, Dale Vice, Kyle Peltier, Forest Peltier and Robert Reed.

David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
