Lafayette- Funeral services will be held at David Funeral Home Chapel in Lafayette, Sunday, November 5, 2006 at 3 pm for Esther Monte Mouton, 91. Pastor Todd Menard of Family Life Christian Fellowship Church will conduct the funeral service with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette. The family requests that visitation be observed Saturday, November 4, 2006 from 12 pm to 7 pm and reopen Sunday morning at 11 am. till time of service. A rosary will be recited at 5 pm by Esthers great grand daughter, Jessica Roy, followed by a prayer vigil service by a beloved friend Jeff Gueno.

Ms. Esther was born in Maurice, Louisiana on April 19, 1915 and went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 30, 2006 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette.

She is survived by two daughters, Rose Roy of Broussard, La, and Helen Boutte of Broussard, LA; two step daughters, Rita Simms of Lafayette, and Lou David of Lafayette; six grandchildren, Debbie Arrington and her husband Curt of San Antonio, TX, Donna Miller and her husband Chris of Shreveport, LA, Bryan Roy and his wife Cheryl of Houston, TX, Pat Boutte and his wife Becky of Lafayette, Keith Boutte of Duson, Pam Brumfield and her husband Ernie of Youngsville; two brothers, Ned Montet and his wife Ruby of Lafayette, and Noel Montet and his wife Sable of New Orleans; a sister, Dorothy Simon and her husband Norris of Franklin. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren and 6 step grand children.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Abel Mouton, two son in laws, J.H. Boutte, and Lincoln Roy, and four brothers and four sisters, and two step grandsons.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bryan Roy, Pat Boutte, Justin Guidry, Ernie Brumfield, Joshua Roy, and Curt Arrington. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Keith Boutte, Nicholas Boudreaux, Rocky Vercher, J.R. Guidry, Silas Boutte, Chris Miller, Kyle Virr, Ned Montet, Benny Boudreaux, Noel Montet, and Jeff Gueno, Dwayne David, Michael Simms, and David Simms.

Ms. Esthers family would like to express a special word of gratitude to Dr. and Mrs. Jeff Budden, Ashley, and Christy for the love and care they have shown Esther. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be made in Esthers name to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston Street, Suite 200, Lafayette, La. 70503.
